The Deployment is finally over!!!

After spending a week in Ft. Lewis, sunday was the day that we were finally able to see Brian. It was hard to believe that the day had finally come. What a year it has been! The demobilization ceremony was scheduled for 1pm in Bend. That morning the kids and I met up with my parents and Brian's parents in Salem. We all drove over to Bend in separate cars. We got to Bend around 11:30am, parked our cars and then headed toward the stadium. As we were getting closer to the stadium we were seeing soldiers every where...and then we spotted him....what a wonderful sight! Colin was sooooo excited! We got to hang out together for about an hour and then the ceremony began. The ceremony only lasted about an hour but Colin kept saying "I want to go see daddy." After the ceremony we headed out for a late lunch and then my parents drove home because they were flying out to Palm Springs the next day. Brian had to report in the next day to the armory for a couple of hours, so we spent the night along with his parents. Since Brian's parents were with us, they watched the kids and Brian and I were able to have a little date and we headed out to dinner that night. The next day Brian was released at 1:30pm and then he headed home.

We are all so very proud of the sacrifices that Brian has made for our country. We love him very much and we thank God that he is home safe. Now we are looking forward to be able to spend time together as a family.
