Colin's Birthday Celebration Part 3
On Sunday February 19th we had the final birthday celebration for Colin. He wanted to invite only the boys from his class over to our house and have the party there. This time he wanted to have a Cars 2 theme party. Including Colin there were 8 little boys at our house. I have to admit I was a little bit nervous about how to entertain all of them, but it turned out just fine. The boys came over, played for a little bit, they played a game, opened gifts, had cupcakes and then played some more. The party only lasted about 2 hours, but I think all the kids had fun and my house was not completely destroyed when they left! Not only was it fun to have the kiddos over, but it was also fun to have all their moms over as well. It gave everyone a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better.
Colin's Birthday Celebration Part 2
On Saturday February 18th, we had a family party to celebrate Colin turning 5. He wanted to have a Star Wars theme, so that's what we did. He had all of our family over and the as always the kids had a wonderful time playing with their cousins. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful caring family to help us celebrate our little man turning 5!
Colin's Birthday Celebration Part 1
On February 17th, Colin turned 5 years old! It is hard to believe that he is 5 already! Colin's birthday celebration lasted from Friday February 17th to Sunday February 19th. On Friday, Kendal and I took donut holes and grapes to Colin's class to celebrate his birthday. We got there at 1:30pm for snack time and then stayed for the rest of the day. Colin was very excited to have us there. It was a lot of fun to see what Colin does during school and to see him play with his friends. Not only did Colin have fun at school that day, but Kendal had a blast as well. It didn't take her long to join right in with all of the activities.
Kendal's First Haircut
A couple of weeks ago I took Kendal to have her first haircut. I took her to Little Clippers in Lake Oswego, which is where I also took Colin when he got his first haircut. Kendal did great getting her haircut. She picked the Lighting McQueen car to sit in and she watched a little video while she was there. There was another little boy who was having a hard time while we were there, so she seemed a little bit concerned by him, but it didn't cause her to cry or fuss. After she was finished, her and Colin played on all the toys that were there and had a great time. They didn't want to leave!
Playdate PDX
At the beginning of February we took the kids to Playdate PDX. This is a wonderful place to take the kids to let them burn off any energy that they might have. There were many places to climb, jump, slide and Colin's favorite a canon shooting area. Both Colin and Kendal had a wonderful time and we will definitely be heading there again.
