Playdate

Caden had a Polar Express Train that ran around the Christmas tree. It was a huge hit!

Kendal

The kids were having a blast telling each other "jokes" while they were eating their lunch. It was really cute.

Last Friday we had a play date with some of our friends. We headed over to my friend Sara's house with her two little boys Caden and Tyson. My friend Stacey came over with her little girl Demi and little boy Leighton. My friend Shannon is home visiting from Connecticut and she brought her two boys Landon and Grayson. The kids played great together and it was so fun to spend a few hours with everyone.

Happy Birthday Baby Jesus

To kick off the holiday season, Colin's preschool has a Happy Birthday Baby Jesus Party. The event consists of yummy treats, festive decorations and singing Christmas songs and finishing the event with singing happy birthday to Baby Jesus. This was a great family event and Colin had a wonderful time. It was nice to meet other preschool families and for Colin to see all of his friends.

Advent Calendar

Last year I saw a cute idea for an advent calendar that I thought I would try with Colin this year. I wrapped all of our Christmas/Winter books and every day Colin gets to open one book to help countdown the days till Christmas. Every night right before bed, Colin opens up a book and we get to read it together. It has been a really big hit and he gets really excited about opening up a book. Hopefully this is something that we can do year after year.

Once again we had a very busy, but wonderful Thanksgiving. It started out with us visiting Grandma and Grandpa Anderlik on Wednesday night. It was so nice to see them and have the kids be able to spend time with their great grandparents. Afterwards he headed over to Brian's parent's house to spend the night with them. On Thursday we headed down to Coburg to spend the first part of the day with Sherry's side of the family. After pigging out there, we then headed to my parent's house for a second dinner. Needless to say we got more than our fair share of turkey this year! We spent Thursday night at my parent's house and then headed back over Brian's parent's house on Friday morning to celebrate our niece Raegan's first birthday. After that we finally headed back home. Lots of running around, but we loved being able to spend time with our family...we are so very thankful for them!

Dad's Breakfast

Every year Colin's preschool has a Dad's breakfast. All the dads are invited for a breakfast on Saturday morning so that can get more acquainted with their child's school. They had breakfast, the kids sang a song and then they played....lots and lots of playing! Colin was shy at first, but then warmed up really fast...especially when they started to play! Colin had a wonderful time and he was so excited to have his Daddy at school with him! Brian had a wonderful time as well and he was so glad he was able to go.

Veteran's Day

For Veteran's Day we headed down to Albany to watch Brian in the Veteran's Day parade. I wasn't sure how Colin was going to do since he is not a fan of loud noises, but he did pretty good. The parade started out with hundreds of motorcycle riders, which Colin loved, so that got him interested in watching the rest of the parade. We didn't stay for the entire parade, but we did stay long enough to see Brian which was the most important part! We are all so very proud of him for his service to our country!

No feet on the dinner table!!

Rock Concert!

The other night Brian was watching the Stone Temple Pilots perform a concert on tv. Colin absolutely LOVED it and started performing as well. It was soooo funny to see him "getting down" with the concert. Enjoy the video and pictures!

Halloween Highlights

For Halloween we went down to Andria and Doug's house and did trick-or-treating with them. My parents came over as well. Colin was Bob The Builder and Kendal was a bumblebee. Owen was a skateboarder and his friend Hunter was a bike rider who crashed. Everyone had a great time and we got more than enough candy. I have been eating most of it. Yikes! Probably want to slow down on that.
