Loving the park

Last week we had such good weather that we went to the park three days in a row. Colin LOVES playing in the sand and Kendal enjoys taking naps in her stroller while we are there. While we are at the park Colin usually finds a few other kids his age to play with, which he loves. He is such a social butterfly! Here are some pics of the kids while we were there.

Happy Easter

This Easter we started out the day by checking out the wonderful baskets that the Easter bunny brought for Colin and Kendal. We then headed to church, had a yummy dinner at my parent's house and then headed over to Brian's parent's house to celebrate with them. The day was packed with family and we loved every minute of it.

Dying Easter Eggs

The night before Easter we stayed at my parent's house and decorated eggs. Colin had a blast! Everytime he would drop an egg into the dish to be colored he would get a huge smile on his face and say "I did it!" It was so cute!

Bumbo already???

Kendal is always trying to sit herself up so I decided to get her bumbo chair out. I sat her in the chair and she really likes it. It is hard to believe that she is already old enough to use the chair, but she is. Once I had the chair out, Colin wanted to try it out for himself. So I guess the chair works for a 10 week old and a 3 year old. At least we are getting our money out of it.

Yard Crew

The entire year while Brian has been gone my dad has been coming up and mowing my lawn. Between my dad coming up and taking care of my lawn and my mom coming up once a week to help me out, they have been crucial in helping me survive this year without Brian. Honestly without them I don't know what I would have done. I feel so very blessed to have such wonderful parents and more importantly wonderful grandparents to our children!

Yesterday while my dad was up he was able to round up three more helpers. My dad did the mowing, my mom did the weeding, Colin did the shoveling and Jake supervised. What a great crew! The yard looks great!

Omsi

On tuesday of spring break Colin, Kendal and I were suppose to go to the zoo with Amy, David and Sydney. Sydney got sick so it ended up just being the kiddos and myslef. I headed off to the zoo but because of the great weather and it being spring break there was absolutely no place to park. So I left there and headed to Omsi. I haven't been to Omsi with the kids, but Colin went there with my parents and Owen a month ago. I knew he had a good time so I thought we should give it a try. Most of the exhibits are a little bit to old for him, but they do have a great exhibit for 6 and under. We ended up staying there for 2 1/2 hours. Colin had a great time and Kendal enjoyed "people watching".
